Global virtual Relay For Life event
Airswift did their first virtual Global Relay For Life in 2016 as a way to unite all offices to a common goal - supporting the Society and Society partner organizations across the globe. In 2017 Airswift completed their second virtual Global Relay For Life raising $30,000 and walking more than 15,000 miles in 20 countries in an effort to end the pain and suffering from cancer. The Houston office hosted a volleyball tournament to raise money for Hope Lodge Houston.
Corporate campus Relay For Life event, Community Relay For Life sponsorship and team participation, and Wellness Committee Member
BHP Billiton hosted an on-site Relay For Life in 2016, raising $70,000 through employee giving and matching gifts. BHP Billiton held an opening ceremony, had a mammography van, and a sno cone shack. BHP employees also participated and sponsored the Relay For Life of Katy. In 2017, BHP sponsored both the Relay For Life of Katy and Relay For Life of Houston for $20,000. The employees participated in their second on-site Relay For Life in the new BHP building and kicked-off the event with a silent lap to remember fellow employees impacted by cancer. Internal departments hosted silent auctions and sold cupcakes with uncut diamonds hidden inside. Through employee giving and matching gifts, BHP Billiton raised $85,000.
Corporate Relay For Life event and Hope Lodge Houston supporter
In 2017, Hess hosted a Corporate Relay For Life event on Discovery Green. The week of the event, employees participated in jeans week and were treated to a special lunch at the Hess cafeteria. Hess raised over $50,000 for Hope Lodge Houston.

Phillips 66 employees formed a team at the Relay For Life of South Brazoria. Through their employee fundraising efforts and the matching gift policy, Phillips 66 employees raised over $27,000 for the American Cancer Society. The team had many fundraisers, such as a tamale night, Halloween breakfast event and multiple silent auctions. In 2017, Phillips 66 contributed $500,000 for Hope Lodge Houston. As a result of this contribution, Phillips 66 received naming rights to the Hope Lodge Houston Living Room.
Wellness Committee Member, Community Relay For Life sponsorship, and Couture for the Cause Sponsor
Woodforest National Bank supports two local events for the Society, the Couture for the Cause event ($2,500) and the Relay For Life of North Channel ($500) through corporate sponsorship. Additionally, Woodforest National Bank was represented on the Corporate Wellness Committee and assisted with the planning of the Woodlands Corporate Wellness Forum.
